i can only hope for school to treat me better in the weeks to come cos each day seems to pass really slowly. and it's the fasting month - so i can't really meet up with my other friends for lunch. i'm praying and hoping that everything could get better.
the workload this semester is CRAZY. i have like 763871931 projects, proposals and presentations to do! and it doesn't help that my tutors don't really seem to have the potential of being nice. on a side note, although i hate my tutorial slots, i really do enjoy my lectures - they are not at all boring and i get to learn cool stuff :)
gosh, this semester is quite bad. nothing (besides having awesome lectures) seems to go my way. urgh. this is pathetic. HELP!
i should really stop feeling miserable, cos its affecting my ability to generate ideas for my assignments. okay, happy music people, recommend me!

i walked yesterday, ran today and will continue to wander an uninspired life tomorrow, all in solitary.
the music that endured: wreck of the day by anna nalick/ one tree hill
driving away from the wreck of the day
and the light's always red in the rear-view
desperately close to a coffin of hope
i'd cheat destiny just to be near you
if this is giving up, then i probably am.
on love.
driving away from the wreck of the day
'cause love doesn't hurt so i know i'm not falling in love..
i'm just falling to pieces.
(on a side note, sorry zizi..i've been having problems with the designs and i just need more time - there's just no inspiration and artistry for now..)

CALLING ALL MY TALENTED, CREATIVE AND BOLD FRIENDS!
okay, here's the deal.
i've always been keen in being part of the YOG2010 action. and today, i came across a mail from NUS that provided me with some awesome information and insights about how i could do just that, besides being solely a volunteer for the event. the information are as follows:
The Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) and the Young ChangeMakers (YCM) under the National Youth Council (NYC) is introducing a grant scheme to inspire youths to embark on YOG-themed projects within their schools or communities.
Seed funding, non-monetary support and resources are provided to youths who want to make a meaningful change in their community and encourage people to live by the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect.
You CAN! Create Action Now for Singapore 2010
The Singapore 2010 being for youth by youth, we would like to encourage all of you out there to take ownership and Create Action Now!
WHAT WE CAN DO?
let's meet up and come up with something AWESOME! and i know we can do this, because all of us are specialised in one skill or another. and this is the chance for ALL OF US to collaborate and finally work together again for something BIG! and this event could also be a collaboration between various educational institutions. after reading the event starter kit, i think it would be great if we could do something that's along the themes of environment and the arts - since most of us are more inclined towards it :) anyway, if our event is approved, we are entitled to the $4000 grant from the SYOG council.
i believe this is a great opportunity for us to put our creative minds together and come up with something real - it's about time! Let's brainstorm and create our own project!
drop me a text if you're keen and interested! (if any of my cousins are keen too, keep me informed!)

At number 1, the day my long-awaited macbook arrived. It was truly a dream come true as I have always wanted a macbook all along when I was in school – it was only until recently when I had the money and ability to purchase one. This macbook has been extremely useful to me, especially in recent times and I am very grateful for its presence. This was probably one of the few decisions in my life that I never regretted. GO APPLE!
Trailing just behind the number 1 spot, at number 2 was when I participated in the School of Design and Environment’s Freshmen Orientation Camp. It was then when I was warmly welcomed into the faculty, being grouped among the most enthusiastic bunch of individuals – the people of Black Eyed Peas (my orientation group). Shimin, Adriel, Edy, Garvin, Yvonne, Yu Cheng, Jun Liang, Sylvester, Sophia, Jennifer and many others became my awesome faculty course friends who I could always turn to for anything. Thanks Guys :)
At number 3, was my Ragger 2008 experience. We didn’t win anything for that year. But it was truly an enriching journey as it brought many of us from the various departments really closer to each other. Our lost from that year set the tempo and determination to win back the challenge shield for NUS Rag, that we had hold dearly for 6 consecutive years. It was from Rag 2008 where I got to meet awesome people like Raj, Zhu Ping, Li Ping, Tze Hao, Fauzy, Steffi and many others. There were by far among the most creative people I’ve ever met.
At the 4th spot, stands my first “A” for a module – PF1101. With a kick ass team for the projects – Cassandra, Farah, Constance and Sylvester, it was a no wonder that I enjoyed that module so much!
At number 5, stands my first ever independent overseas trip with friends. I had so much fun in Vietnam with Carol, Ilyas and Hafiz. They are truly the people who I can always turn to for anything and everything. I’m so lucky to have found you guys as friends. You guys rock! We shall plan another one to ROME next year!
At number 6, my first in-camp reservist training as a company sergeant major. Yes, I’m very aware that I’m not supposed to enjoy reservist BUT it really wasn’t that bad. Although the training was a tad bit too unbearable, the moments ad experiences with all your friends back in green were priceless and I’m very glad and grateful that I will continue the next 9 years of reservist with all of them.
At number 7, I enjoyed every single lunch/dinner/supper dates with my secondary-jc friends. They form a huge part of my life and I’m glad I could meet them at least every week to share and exchange information about stuffs. 10 years of friendship has been indeed a meaningful and enjoyable one. There may be some squabbles at times but ultimately, we are really like a big family. To este, ilyas, fyedee, carol, samantha, meow zhi, suhaila, rafidah and hafiz – thank you :)
At number 8, my experiences from my Youth Expedition Team to Yunnan, China with Team Skybreaker. I truly enjoyed myself there and learnt so much from the experience. It is something really personal that I treasure.
At number 9, stands my involvement and experiences from NUS RAG 2009! We set out to win and we went all out. Winning was not everything but it was certainly the ONLY thing. And it was from that experience, where I got to meet fresh faces and forge great friendships, while strengthening old ones from the Rag Community. Thank you – raj, garvin, zhuping, huizhi, jolene, li ping, min li, tzehao, yvonne, Irvin, rifdy, Rebecca, darryl, zinc, Shayne, ben, mei ying, jaden, andre, Samuel, francis, tian long, atika, syaz, rabbit (who’s name I can’t still remember!), mathan, kai ling, shen yu, zhan hui, weixuan, mandy and gazillion other people of SDE RAGGERS 09! I believe this is the beauty of being in a closely knitted faculty. It is something that people from other faculties will never be able to understand.
Last but not least, at number 10… all the outings with my awesome cousins. THEY NEVER ever fail to make an effort to bind the families together. Movie marathons, TV-show marathons, Suppers, Movie Screenings, Birthday Party Plannings, BBQ surprise events and 63098234742 other events. YOU GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL! Awesome :)
With that, I hope this coming academic year brings more pleasant surprises, joys and excitement. I believe this coming year is gonna be a lot happier than the previous one :)

ola!
TODAY was random, but really nice - it began with me seriously wanting to support the NUS architecture students at the ISTANA art event 2009, where an exhibition of a thousand umbrellas was taking place at the swan pond, istana. but sadly, no one was free or keen. so, i had to give it a miss as it would be quite pathetic to go for it alone :( then i wanted to meet sophia and suee at the zouk flea market that afternoon, but i didnt in the end cos i was rather lazy and the weather was just too freakin hot. in the evening, i called up the dunearn peeeps for a meet up and surprisingly they (fyedee, ilyas and fidah) agreed, este couldn't make it cos she had to study for something the next day. and that was when my day (or rather, night) began!
we went to this extremely impressive place with a great view. i'll let some of the pictures do the talking. and this place is officially my next favourite hangout - it's so secluded, tucked in the western side of singapore. AND it's at a country club! woots* it's windy, has a great view of the sea, the moon and the stars. and we were just in time to witness sunset. nice! it's the kind of place you would want to run off to when life feels like shit or when you have had a bad day :) a place to escape all that. very cooool. in fact, i can just lie down there the entire day, with my ipod. nice - i'm giving it a 3 thumbs up. marina barrage and sg flyer - no more!
my friends (although only 3 responded today) truly made my day :)
-sweet dreams & beautiful nightmares-
